Art I opens up the curriculum to students who wish to take all of our art classes as well as satisfy a fine arts credit for an honors diploma. All are welcome and all will learn! Art III goes deeper into every project and builds pieces for student portfolios. Activities include large scale ceramics, large relief print, a large acrylic painting, illustrations for a book we will publish, acrylic painting of shiny and transparent objects and finally a colored pencil-mixed media self-portrait drawing. Find homework assignments and project descriptions under lesson handouts link. I try to conserve paper and encourage anyone who has lost one of their handouts from me to find it on my site.
Prepare for your final exam! Review the terms in "Handouts" under ART I Vocabulary. Terms are defined in the in the handouts from throughout the year.
"Creativity is an artist giving the world something new to ponder" Many more thoughts on the arts are available at a website called artsz.org. Good explanations of art terms and art movements.
